Fruidor Terroirs acquires Vivy Fruits and strengthens its position in the Loire Valley

On the 5th of May, Fruidor Terroirs signed the acquisition of Vivy Fruits, a French company based in the department of Maine-et-Loire.

Specialized in vegetables from the Loire Valley, Vivy Fruits will strengthen Fruidor Terroirs' national strategy and its regional positions in western France. Founded in 1978, Vivy Fruits had belonged to the Subery Group, a wholesaler based in Rennes, since 2003. In order to refocus on its core business as a wholesaler, the Subery family decided to sell Vivy Fruits to Fruidor, a well-known actor in the fruit and vegetable sector in France. As part of this acquisition, Fruidor is committed to maintaining local jobs, as well as the privileged relationships with Vivy Fruits' partner producers and clients.

Vivy Fruits specializes in bunch vegetables (radishes, carrots, onions, turnips), old-fashioned vegetables (parsnips, Jerusalem artichokes, rutabaga...) and other vegetables such as asparagus, green beans, peas and broad beans. Vivy Fruits will help consolidate Fruidor Terroirs' range of products and strengthen its position in the Loire Valley, in addition to the sites in Sologne and Nantes.

Located in the heart of the Saumur producing region, the team selects vegetables from 100 local producers. The company also has a warehouse on the market of Vivy in order to collect, pack and ship the vegetables.
