After more than 40 years in business, Patricia and Roland Gugger have decided to hand over their wholesale vegetable business called Gugger-Guillod SA. Eight vegetable producers from the region are jointly taking over the management of the Sugiez-based company. These are Adam Gemüse from Müntschemier, Lorenz Gutknecht from Ins, BG Jampen from Brüttelen, Alexandre Javet from Sugiez, Peter Liem from Sugiez, Niklaus Gemüse from Brüttelen, Raphael Sommer from Muntelier and Wyssa Gemüse from Galmiz. This was stated in a press release.
Quality and service remain unchanged
There will be no changes to the company's current operations and services. The new owners will continue to run Gugger-Guillod SA under the same name and with all employees and the established suppliers. The focus of the vegetable wholesale business will remain on the trade with onions, garlic and other field vegetables.
In order to ensure this and to ensure the transition, Patricia and Roland Gugger will continue to run the business until a new managing director has been trained and they will support this person during the transition period.
