New vegetable storage facilities to be built in the south of Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, there is a shortage of vegetable storage facilities, especially during the off-season. In response to this problem, the Ministry of Agriculture has planned the construction of 97 fruit and vegetable warehouses with a total volume of 335.6 thousand tons. As part of this plan, 10 vegetable storage facilities are planned to be built in the Turkestan region in southern Kazakhstan.

The largest project being implemented will have a capacity of 20 thousand tons of production per year. In addition, several other vegetable and fruit storage facilities are planned to be opened this and the following year. By the end of the year, a vegetable storehouse with a capacity of 5,000 tons will appear in the region.

The construction of new vegetable storage facilities will help solve the problem of a deficit in fruit and vegetable storage in Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that in 2023, a total of 26 new vegetable storage facilities will be launched in Kazakhstan. Their total capacity will reach 104.5 thousand tons. Thus, the government continues to work on strengthening its economic base and solving problems that affect the well-being of its population.
