Princesa Amandine launches a new fifth-range potato in Spain's main distribution centers

The fifth-range potato project that the Princesa Amandine Ibérica association presented in the last edition of Fruit Attraction is taking shape. Six months later, this pre-steamed, 30-35 mm caliber potato which can be heated in 2 or 3 minutes, is already available nationwide in different supermarket chains.

Jean Michel Beranger, the general director of the Princesa Amandine Ibérica Association, said that they were talking with the remaining retailers in Spain and the main food distributors in Portugal so that they also adhere to this project.

Princesa Amandine's fifth-range potato was recently awarded the Taste of the Year award in Spain and Portugal. Paturpat, the subsidiary of one of its partners, Udapa, produced a potato of the Amandine variety that is marketed in a 450-gram format. The potato is sold with its skin, dressed with oil, herbs, and salt, and packaged in a cardboard box format.

To facilitate its consumption, Princesa Amandine will launch a two-month “Try Me Free” promotion at the end of March in which consumers who purchase this potato can upload their purchase ticket to Princesa Amandine's website so that they are reimbursed for their purchase.
