From March 7, Paris Direkt Ltd will start supplying Edeka Food Service throughout Germany. "Through this partnership, customers can now access over 40 mushroom products, from dried mushrooms to a wide variety of truffle products. The premium products are marketed primarily under the proven Black Edition brand and, depending on the customer's wishes, with high-quality displays made of sturdy cardboard or wood," reports Ramazan Gülnar, managing director of the company based in Münster-Roxel.
Edeka Foodservice is the wholesale division of the well-known food retailer and operates a total of 64 cash-and-carry stores throughout Germany.
With a diverse range of products, the store network is primarily regarded as a point of contact for restaurants and hotels, from simple eateries to upscale cuisine. Gülnar: "Customers can now obtain the complete range from a single source. Previously, we supplied the Edeka Foodservice subsidiary 'Handelshof', but now our products can also be found in all Edeka Foodservice stores. We always get the question whether our products can also be bought directly from retailers or online. The new partnership allows us to further expand our position in this area as well, and especially nationwide."
Although the mushroom trade is currently characterized by supply bottlenecks and shortages, Gülnar says the availability of goods is not a problem at all. "We receive new deliveries of dried mushrooms several times a week, which we pack in either 30 grams for retail or 150 grams for the food service industry. Thanks to our long-standing and close relationships with our producers, we have a reliable supplier network. Incidentally, this also applies to truffle products, which we always have available in stock."
