Ecuadorian plantains and bananas will increase their presence in Qatar

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar has doubled its imports of Ecuadorian plantain and bananas and they will soon be marketed in the micro-markets of Woqod fuel stations, the largest gasoline distribution company in the country.

“The Embassy of Ecuador in Qatar carried out an evaluation that confirmed the significant increase in Ecuadorian banana and plantain imports in Qatar during 2022.”

“The fruits, which will soon be available in the service stores of Woqod stations (Qatar Fuel Company), are currently available in virtually all of Qatar's supermarkets, such as Lulu Hypermarket, Monoprix, Carrefour, and Al Meera.”

Woqod is Qatar's national fuel company and has more than 112 stores across the country, many of which incorporate cider shops, which provide basic necessities products, groceries, and prepared food.
