"Sweet Sensation sales off to good start"

Sweet Sensation pear sales started this week. "All the retailers who included Sweet Sensation on their shelves last year are excited again this year. The warm summer means this season's pears are deliciously sweet again. The year's sizes are excellent too," says Ton van Wiggen, The Greenery's Sweet Sensation sales manager.

The Greenery's inspectors keep a close on quality throughout the season. Consumers can, thus, always rely on great flavor and quality. The very best quality pears are labeled Sweet Sensation; the others are sold as Sweet Dored.

Growing overseas demand
"Since its market introduction, this pear has been most popular in Germany. And both Sweet Sensation and Sweet Dored keep gaining ground elsewhere. Sweet Sensation sales are rising in countries like France and Italy, while Sweet Dored is in demand among Eastern European consumers, among others. We're pleased to have more kilos this season. We can, thus, continue broadening our customer base while meeting the growing demand from existing clients."

Restyling: Taste the Moment
"Sweet Sensation has a new look this year. Consumer surveys show that pears are considered more of an indulgence than a routine/on-the-go fruit. So, we shifted the focus more to flavor and created a fresh look that suits younger shoppers. Plus, Sweet Sensation is an international brand, so the payoff was made English: Taste The Moment," Tom concludes. The Sweet Sensation 4-pack and cardboard box (laid loose) packs have both been restyled.
