Vietnam: First batch of Hoa Binh longans exported to EU

The first batch of 1 ton of fresh longan from the northern province of Hoa Binh has been shipped to the EU. The province aims to export more of the fruit, targeting 50 tons this year.

The shipment was the result of cooperation between three sides, including the Son Thuy Agricultural Service Cooperative in Xuan Thuy commune, Kim Boi district, the provincial agricultural sector and the FUSA Organic Agriculture Joint Stock Company.

The Hoa Binh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that all technical requirements set by the EU on fresh fruit and vegetables have been strictly adhered to by longan growers in the Son Thuy cooperative since 2019.
