Hydroponic Systems

The best systems to grow strawberries on a substrate are Spanish

Since its inception in 2014, Hydroponic Systems has introduced several drainage systems for certain crop types that have improved the success rates of farmers around the world.

One of these models is the patented HS Evolution System. According to results in the field from various customers, this system allows producers to achieve a yield of up to 1.4 kg of strawberry per plant (in the Murano and Prize varieties) thanks to the conjunction of its elements: a metal channel, elevated out-flow to drain the system, and an Elevated Spacer, a piece designed by the company's R+D+i department that guarantees the roots and the substrate have the minimum and necessary surface area of contact while creating an optimal space under them to promote aeration, oxygenation, and drainage circulation.

Its pre-lacquered metal channel is internally covered by a protective layer to guarantee that it is resistant to oxidation and drains, favoring its great durability, long-term savings, and greater performance.

Having a Spacer improves the performance of the drainage systems, as it favors the development of the strawberry at its maximum levels while preventing the roots from coming into contact with moisture or root diseases that damage production. In addition, recent research shows that it favors the oxygenation of the roots, which has a positive impact on each plant's production percentages. According to Centro Universitario Ceickor, it improves their production by 3% to 5%. This allows farmers to comply with the expected cycles smoothly and to obtain higher profitability by not having to deal with the typical and annoying root health issues in crops.

In addition, the HS Evolution Strawberry modality can be hung or buried in the ground by means of posts that allow reaching the appropriate height to facilitate harvesting and a correct slope for effective and efficient drainage.

Hydroponic Systems has operational profiling machines to work on the farm, as can be seen in the image. This, in particular, is a 100,000 linear meter HS Evolution System project for a Spanish customer who plans to grow strawberries.

However, the company also sends the profiled channels from its factory to any country in the world.
