"I'm hitting the books again," Edwin Droogendijk announced on social media. He is the Dutch company TripleF Fruit's sourcing manager. "I've reached the point where I want to do something else. After 20 years in the fruit and vegetable business, I've decided to change course."
Edwin says he plans to remain active in the food world, just no longer in a commercial role. "I come from a horticultural family. So, the 'farm to fork' concept isn't new to me. However, within this process, the chain's quality aspect has increasingly piqued my interest in recent years."
"I started working in the fruit and vegetable sector at 24. Then Q&A wasn't really hip and wasn't taken seriously at all. Now, both quality and assurance have become an essential part of the food marketing mix. I'd like to be part of that," Edwin writes.

"I also love motorcycles, especially tinkering with them. What began as helping out fellow riders could take up all my time now. I don't want to make this a full-time activity. But I'm definitely looking for a healthy combination of these two passions."
"I've had a great time at TripleF, which I'll reflect upon with true pleasure," Droogendijk continues. "TripleF consists of a team of true specialists. And I felt genuinely at home there. But I'm ready for the next chapter in my life."
"I've been in close talks with TripleF Fruit's management. And it's been decided that our partnership will officially end on December 31, 2021. This Friday (December 17) is my last working day. And, thus, I'd like to thank everyone that worked with me," Edwin concludes.
