Desmettre Bio, created in 2018, offers a wide range of fresh organic fruit and vegetables and is seeking to become a key player in the organic sector in the Paris region.
Through its new brand « Comptoir des Producteurs Locaux », the company is committed to local sourcing, from local actors located in the Ile-de-France region and less than 150 km from Rungis Market.
The company's aim is to democratize organic food on our plates, while respecting seasonality and the environment. Valérie Lansardière, president of Desmettre Bio, wants to create a real exchange counter between customers and producers throughout the year.
This morning reflected the spirit of the brand: exchanges based on the reality in the fields. It was about producers' remuneration, production techniques, partnerships, logistics and producers' support. The producers present were able to exchange with customers, Desmettre Bio teams and the various officials present.
Mr. Layani, president of SEMMARIS (Rungis Market's managing body) also affirmed his support for this approach, which is part of the market's development strategy.
