France: Fair Trade Organic label for the BioBreizh cooperative

Created 20 years ago, the BioBreizh cooperative gathers 84 Breton producers and sells in France and abroad 15,000 tons of fruit and vegetables that are 100% organic and produced on 1,200 ha. It is the first cooperative in Brittany to obtain the Fair Trade Organic label.

“For over 20 years now, it has been developing an alternative model to meet societal expectations. The fair remuneration of producers and crop planning to fight overproduction are at the heart of its development, with specifications that are 100% organic and 100% sustainable.

The producers of BioBreizh wish to go further in contributing to the expansion of fair trade in France by promoting social, virtuous and coherent farming.
