Grown in Italy and South Africa in the three varieties; Green, Gold and Red

First grower of year-round Organic and Demeter kiwis

Agricolli Bio has grown in the last six years. The young start-up from back then has matured into a world-wide supplier of organic and Demeter kiwis. Conventional and in-transition kiwis are available from growers that are preparing their switch to bio.

Keeping its base in the heart of the kiwi production hub of Latina, has allowed to cement close working relations with its most important capital, over 60 growers.

To be able to fulfill its year round programs to its customers, Agricolli Bio has invested in its own kiwi production in South Africa, guaranteeing year-round supply. These volumes from Italy and South Africa are supplemented by direct imports from Chile and New-Zealand. Yearly sales amount to 10.000T.

“We want to be a one-stop shop for our customers. We can supply them year-round with kiwis, Hayward, Gold and now also Red," explains CEO and co-founder Alexander Feulner. “On top of that we ship our kiwis plastic free and environmentally friendly. Card board packaging instead of flowpacks and seal and we're laser-branding our kiwis.”

Alexander continues: “Climate change is affecting our operations here in Italy. Unseasonal weather, cold and thunderstorms, is adding to our operational risk. Our customers however expect us to supply and deliver on the arranged programs. That's why we have invested in our own Greek kiwi production. The Greek kiwi is a great complementary product to the Italian and South African volumes.”

“Demeter is the organic of the future, that's why we are heavily investing in developing the Demeter brand. Also to further streamline our operations we have set up an office in Holland. To be closer to our customers and to be on top of the imports that come through the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. We are excited and ready to add another 5 years to our business.”

Agricolli Bio will attend the PMA Fresh Summit in Anaheim as visitors and will exhibit during Fruit Attraction in Madrid. You can find their stand in Hall 6, stand 6E04.
