In the next few weeks, the very last old potatoes from Lower Austria will be sold over the counter. For hard-boiled potatoes, the season should end during the Easter weekend. In Upper Austria, the season 2018/19 ended this week. The very high sorting due to pressure points led to a sharp drop in stock levels.
The availability of domestic goods could be extended by additional imported goods from France and Germany. Also, the marketing volumes of new potatoes from the Mediterranean area are much more extensive this year. There was no change in producer prices. In Lower Austria, table potatoes are usually sold at €25, per 100 kg. For wire worm-free, small-packed premium goods with the AMA quality label up to €30, per 100 kg can be achieved.

For contractually fixed goods, a direct connection to the next season will be possible. Onions are sold in Germany as well as abroad. Especially in exports, prices improved again. Carrot prices at a good level
The marketing of carrots continues to be consistent. Furthermore, carrots are also exported at a good level. The price level remains stable at a good level.
