Meadow Mushrooms have recently launched Summer Fun-Gi Mushrooms. Summer Fun-Gi is a 325gm pack of white button mushrooms that is aiming at the Southern Hemisphere Summer salad and barbecue season.
Though only initially available for 8 weeks, there are hopes that consumers and retailers might be inspired to use more mushrooms which, after all, are available all year round.
Mushrooms are currently the third most popular vegetable in New Zealand, after potatoes and tomatoes.
