Agrivoltaic project to revive vegetable cultivation in Corsica

The town of Serra di Fium'Orbu will soon be home to Corsica's first agrivoltaic project, on a 20-hectare plot of previously uncultivated land. The aim is to install solar panels for young vegetable growers.

At the heart of the project, 7.5 hectares will be dedicated to vegetable crops, with the aim of strengthening the micro-region's food self-sufficiency as part of the Territorial Food Plan. The local authority is currently looking for farmers to set up on the site and produce under the photovoltaic panels.
