The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has drafted a regulation defining tariff quotas for the duty-free import of selected agricultural products from Iran for 2026–2027. The proposal, published on the EAEU's official legal portal, aims to support bilateral trade and stabilize food supply across member states.
Under the draft, the EAEU would allow duty-free imports of:
- 20,000 tons of potatoes,
- 33,000 tons of fresh tomatoes,
- 15,000 tons of cabbage,
- 10,000 tons of carrots and turnips,
- 10,000 tons of table beet and celery,
- 43,000 tons of cucumbers and gherkins,
- 140,000 tons of fresh apples, and
- 20,000 tons of processed or canned tomatoes.
Small portions of these quotas are allocated to Kyrgyzstan within the EAEU structure.
