From January to June 2025, Uzbekistan exported 311,000 tons of fruits worth $368.6 million, according to a spokesperson for the Agency for Agro-Industrial Development.
Each year, Uzbekistan produces about 3.4 million tons of fruits and 1.9 million tons of grapes.
Key fruit exports during the first half of 2025 included:
- Cherries: 42,100 tons (11% of total exports) worth $96.8 million
- Apricots: 54,100 tons (15%) worth $41 million
- Plums: 14,600 tons (3.9%) worth $10 million
- Apples: 13,300 tons (3.6%) worth $6.7 million
To support export growth, 10 agro-logistics centers are planned for 2025, with four already operational in Surkhandarya, Navoi, Samarkand, and Fergana regions.
The fruit and vegetable sector saw a notable 40% increase in exports year-on-year. In 2024, total exports of fruits and vegetables reached $1.5 billion.
