The harvest spans early-season lychees from May 20 to June 10, with the main harvest from June 10 to July 25.
Efficient harvesting involves issuing 469 planting area codes for 19,400 hectares and 55 export packing facility codes targeting China, Australia, Japan, the U.S., and Thailand. Bac Giang leads with 240 certified areas covering 17,421 hectares, supporting VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. Bui Quang Huy from Bac Giang emphasizes training in safe pesticide use and organic practices to meet standards required by markets like Japan and the U.S..
Hai Duong adds 12 GlobalGAP and 56 VietGAP-certified areas over 721 hectares, holding 198 planting area codes. Luong Thi Kiem highlights early training for global compliance. In Tan Yen district, farmer Ngo Van Cuong secured contracts at 35,000 VND ($1.47) per kilogram for early-harvest lychees, ensuring income stability. Ngo Thi Thu Hong of Ameii Vietnam JSC stresses the importance of high-quality zones and adherence to technical protocols.
Minister Do Duc Duy emphasizes vigilance against weather issues and pest outbreaks and insists on compliance with export standards, especially regarding pesticide residues. He advocates dynamic marketing responsive to trends, supporting sales through cooperatives and e-commerce platforms.
