In the first half of 2024, fruit production in Uzbekistan exceeded 1 million tons, marking a 5.1% increase compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the Statistics Agency.
The majority of the harvested fruits came from the Andijan region, accounting for 23% of the total production. The Fergana region contributed 20.6%, while the Bukhara region followed with 12.6%.
During the first six months of 2024, Uzbekistan exported fruits and vegetables worth $617.2 million. The import volume for the same period reached $237.9 million.
Uzbek enterprises also produced 3.4 million tons of vegetables between January and June 2024, with the Surkhandarya region leading in production.
