Meghalaya state to export Kew Pineapples, Khasi Mandarin oranges to Lulu Group

The Meghalaya government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the international Lulu Group to establish a strategic partnership for mutual growth and the promotion of agricultural products from Meghalaya in the GCC countries.

The MoU aims at connecting farmers with international brands for value addition of local products, and give them recognition so that large scale production can be taken up. Notably, this also comes after the state got the Geographical Indication (GI) tag for Meghalaya Khasi Mandarin oranges and Kew Pineapple in the Gulf Market.
