According to Mongolia’s Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Bolorchuluun Hayangaa, 100% of the needs for potatoes and 81.3% of the needs for vegetables can be met through domestic crops. According to the preliminary estimates, it is possible to collect 165,000 tons of potatoes, 165,800 tons of vegetables and 5,000 tons of fruits nationally. Forecasts are that vegetable will increase by 25,700 tons (18.3%) as a result of vegetable sales incentives, seed support and technical subsidies.
