Which countries increase imports of Moroccan fruits and berries the most rapidly?

Morocco has been rapidly increasing its fruit and berry exports, with some destinations showing triple-digit growth rates, EastFruit reports.

For example, the Moroccan fruit and berry exports to Ireland had been minimal but started growing actively in 2020. As a result, in 2018-2022, the export revenues from the Moroccan exports to Ireland grew 244 times and reached almost $3.5 mln in 2022.

Mandarins, Morocco’s most exported fruit category, account for more than three fourth in the exports to Ireland. In addition to mandarins, Ireland imports oranges from Morocco and several berry categories since 2021.

Such growth rates allowed Morocco to move up in the list of Ireland’s suppliers of fruit and berries from the 47th position in 2018 to the 20th one in 2022, with the leaders represented by the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, and France.
