New Zealand’s Prime Minister Chris Hipkins is attending this year's Summer Davos in Tianjin. IT is Hipkins' first visit to China since he took the office as Prime Minister in January. Hipkins has said that China will play a crucial role in helping New Zealand's economic recovery. He's being accompanied by business leaders in trade and tourism, as well as education.
Boosting trade relations between China and New Zealand is on the top of the agenda for Hipkins' visit, as well as upgrading agreements under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership or RCEP.
Bob Meng, Market Development Director Zespri Fruit China North & West Region, stated: "We have a very big ratio of China Kiwi fruit variety. We will extend our businesses in China and invest more in China."
