Maharashtra farmers march to Mumbai to voice their problems

Thousands of farmers from Maharashtra have left for Mumbai to protest and alert the government to their various problems. The farmers’ organization from Nashik has today taken to the Mumbai-Agra National Highway to approach the Maharashtra Ministry with various demands. They demand relief for the onion, cabbage and cotton, damaged by heavy rains. Along with this, they want fair prices for their crops. Farmers want the soil of their fields to be tested, while the Shinde government should also provide fertilizers, seeds and enough electricity for irrigation.
