Nepal imported almonds & cashew nuts worth Rs 1.18 billion in four months

Nepal imported almonds and cashew nuts worth Rs 1,177, 954  (€8.8 mln) in the first four months of the current fiscal year, 2021/22 (beginning mid-July). Traders have been importing cashew nuts from six countries and almond from three countries. Cashew nuts are imported from India, China, Mozambique, Nigeria, Singapore and Vietnam. Almonds are imported from India, America and Afghanistan.

The highest volume of cashew nuts are imported from India. 418 tons were imported from India in the first four months of the current fiscal. Similarly, 184 tons of cashews were imported from Vietnam during this period.
