Jammu and Kashmir government publicized rates for airfreighting fruit to Dubai

The Jammu and Kashmir government has publicized rates for flying horticulture perishables (fruits) to Dubai and other destinations. The horticulture department has already signed an agreement with Go Airlines India Ltd.  It notified that it will cost Rs 128 per kg for shipping the products from Srinagar or Jammu to Dubai and Sharjah.

In the case of markets within India, the notification has fixed Rs 29 per kg for Delhi, Rs 54 for Chennai, Rs 52 for Kolkata, Rs 39 for Mumbai and Pune and Rs 55 for Bangalore. The freight includes all taxes and handling charges.  The government said that they will be offering a 25 per cent subsidy on this tariff for cherry, strawberry, plum, peach, pear, litchi and other exotic and organic vegetables only.
