In just 10 years between 2009 and 2019, Chile’s total exports of avocados increased by 76% from US$170.7 million to US$300.7 million. In 2019, the Netherlands became the country's largest export destination of avocados, with a total export value of 112.8 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 37.5% of Chile’s total exports, followed by the United Kingdom with an export value of 54.6 million U.S. dollars, up 87% from 2018.
