Chinese vegetable prices continue to rise at a slower pace

Chinese vegetable prices continue to rise, but the increases are  slowing down. The price difference with last year is clear. At first, the price of vegetables was falling, but when the entire country suffered from heavy rainfall and purchases in production areas slowed down, then prices began to rise again.

The impact of heavy rainfall was only temporary. When the rain is gone and the sky clears, then the purchases in production areas will speed up again and the price will come down. However, this time some production areas suffered from flooding as a result of heavy rainfall. Some other production areas have had to deal with hard winds and hailstones as well. This has an impact on those vegetables that are currently being harvested. That is why the price of some vegetables is coming down slower than the price of other vegetables.
