The vegetable supply volume grows, and the price comes down

Traders in Beijing's Xinfadi Market gradually loosen isolation measures

The residents of some neighborhoods near the Xinfadi Market came out of self-isolation last week (July 4-10). The Market imposed isolation measures on June 13th, and this week the first 5,000 employees were allowed to come out of isolation. Traders quickly came to inspect their stands in the temporary trading area. They had previously transported their vegetables to other markets and supermarkets, but have now begun to redirect supply to the temporary trading area at Xinfadi Market. The supply of vegetables and fruit should quickly grow after this week.

The market will open another temporary trading area to handle the growing supply volume of Chinese cabbage, round white cabbage, lettuce, and fresh corn. However, even the additional trading space will be insufficient once all the traders return.
