These prices are average FOT (Free on Truck) prices in Euros, recorded in the Dutch fresh produce market - both exports and domestic. They are an average of the quotations on the pricelists of importers/exporters (often being the same companies) and can be taken as an indication for the European situation. The Netherlands funtion as a hub for fresh produce in the European market, as imports for re-export are common practice.
At these prices you can buy a single box. However, in times of surplus or when trading volumes larger than a single box (pallet or full truck), the true prices may be considerably lower than presented here. Therefore, this report offers no more and no less then a market indication. The precentagewise comparison in the far right column shows the development for the present week compared to the previous week.
Please note that the price lists are in PDF format as of week 4. To open these PDF documents, you can use Adobe Reader. You can download this application free of charge from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
