These prices are average FOT (Free on Truck) prices in Euros, recorded in the Dutch fresh produce market - both exports and domestic. They are an average of the quotations on the pricelists of importers/exporters (often being the same companies) and can be taken as an indication for the European situation. The Netherlands funtion as a hub for fresh produce in the European market, as imports for re-export are common practice.
At these prices you can buy a single box. However, in times of surplus or when trading volumes larger than a single box (pallet or full truck), the true prices may be considerably lower than presented here. Therefore, this report offers no more and no less then a market indication. The precentagewise comparison in the far right column shows the development for the present week compared to the previous week.
