With the onset of the new summer fruit season, the team at Fresh Line Fruit Services Ltd also kicks off their peak season. "Although the situation changes a little with the seasons every year, we are starting the new campaign with good expectations. This year, we anticipate larger volumes, especially in stone fruit, making speed and efficiency more important than ever. Due to the early start of the season for many products, there will automatically be more complaints," predicts Ümit Ayar, Managing Director of Fresh Line Fruit Services.
Based in Nettetal, the company acts as an external complaints team for medium-sized and well-known fruit and vegetable suppliers, offering a full range of services around returned and rejected goods. The claimed batches are handled both in their own premises (among others in Heijen / Netherlands - at a strategically optimal place at the border to Belgium and Germany) and at fixed locations in other European countries and are immediately put back on the market. "The goal of our service is to avoid food waste and minimize the financial losses of the respective client as much as possible. In Europe, we mainly focus on the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, and Germany, and work with local companies to serve a wide range of customers," says Ayar.
Ümit Ayar and authorized signatory Maricarmen Jiménez Alarcón stand by fruit and vegetable traders across Europe with advice and support.
Almost ten years of experience
Speed is of the utmost importance with perishable goods like fruits and vegetables, as even hours and minutes can sometimes be crucial, Ayar knows from experience. According to the changing demands of the clients, Fresh Line Fruit Services has continuously adapted, optimized, and developed its service since its founding in 2015. "We have built up our expertise and network over the years and can now offer faster, targeted, and efficient services. We therefore also strongly advise against cooperating with imitators who offer a similar concept."
The young, dedicated team not only deals with the accommodation of returned goods but also with the marketing of surpluses. Ayar: "These are often products that are not suitable for long-distance sales or that have other sales difficulties. Thanks to our network, we can market such products quickly and uncomplicatedly. Because our motto still is: There is a market for every product. Nevertheless, it is advisable not to wait too long and to act in a timely manner."
