In Saudi Arabia, too, Italian technologies managed to impress fruit and vegetable operators. In this case, it was Agrimat that was counted among the best thanks to some innovations presented at the SaudiFood Manifatture Show in Riyahd that ended on 2 May. And now Agrimat is preparing for its presence at Macfrut.
Agrimat, a company from Tortona (Italy) has been on the market for more than 40 years and offers solutions for the selection and/or processing of fruit and vegetables, prickly pears, dates, coconuts, and the extraction of essential oils.
"It was a great satisfaction," explains Catia Cassol, Agrimat Sales Director, "to be nominated for the most innovative technology. We were a finalist for Opun Tech360, for prickly pear processing. We did not get the first prize, but we are very happy to have been so valued. The greatest satisfaction came from the many operators from all over the Arabian Peninsula who asked for information and solutions for processing their products.

In view of Macfrut, the focus will be on fruit and vegetables. "Optical sorters with Omron technology, for example, allow precise and accurate product selection, optimising the processing and reducing waste. Furthermore,' Cassol continues, 'advanced systems for distillation and extraction of essential oils allow the aromatic and nutritional properties of the raw material to be preserved, guaranteeing the quality of the finished product. These solutions not only improve process efficiency, but also contribute to the sustainability of the entire supply chain, reducing environmental impact and promoting responsible agricultural practices'.
