The new weighing machine from Zetapack is called MP4. It is simple, inexpensive and dedicated to blueberries and cherry tomatoes. "The aim of our MP4," explain owner Nicola Antonacci and sales manager Arianna Zammarchi, "is to make life easier for small and medium-sized growers of fruit such as blueberries and cherry tomatoes. In particular, we are targeting that part of the market that wants to start automating their work and those who have little storage space. The entire installation measures 3900x2600 mm."

Thanks to this compact and user-friendly system, it will be possible to work at a speed of around 40 packs per minute, ensuring extreme precision in the final weight. Another detail we'd like to highlight is the ability to work with extreme delicacy. Getting the best out of the product is always one of our prerogatives, which must never be subjected to shocks or jolts."
The line consists of a special mesh conveyor used upstream for sorting the product. Once the product has been checked, it is sent to the weigher with 4 vibrating channels. The weighing system has been designed to obtain the most accurate weight possible, thanks to the double outlet of the hopper. In fact, the single vibrating channel is divided into a main larger channel that will be used for the filling of 70/80 percent of the total package, and a smaller channel that will do the final weight correction to reach the preset range.
The machine can also handle different types of punnets weighing from 125 to 1000 grams. Upstream, Zetapack combines its own automatic basket depacker, working at a speed of 50/55 packs per minute, with the possibility of destacking different types of plastic and cardboard baskets.

Downstream, after the weighing system, it is possible to combine any type of packaging machine. Alternatively, Zetapack can supply a printer with the option of choosing the position in which the label is applied: top, side or bottom.
