The 16th edition of the International Agricultural Fair of Morocco (SIAM) was held from April 22 to 28 in Meknes. It is the largest agricultural exhibition in Morocco and is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture under the sponsorship of the King of Morocco.
The show brings together professionals operating in a wide range of agricultural sectors, including fresh produce, machinery, supplies, inputs, and livestock. Judging by the number of exhibitors, it is clear that fresh produce occupies a secondary position at the show. This is perfectly natural, since Morocco is an exporter of fresh produce, and the market is more interested in other parts of the value chain.
The show is also characterized by its audience. Open to the general public, it attracts not only agribusiness professionals but all visitors, especially on the last two days.
This year, the Ministry announced the success of the 2024 edition and presented the following summary:
- A record 1,500 exhibitors participated.
- The fair welcomed over a million visitors.
- 70 countries were represented in the fair. Spain was the guest of honor.
- An "agri-digital" cluster was inaugurated for the first time this year.
