On February 19, 2024, specialists from the Federal Service Rosselkhoznadzor issued a phytosanitary certificate for the shipment of 2 tons of cedar nuts from the Tomsk region to the United Arab Emirates. This marks a significant increase, almost 12% more of the valuable Siberian delicacy than the total exported in 2023, as reported on the website of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Tomsk and Novosibirsk regions.
It's worth noting that since the beginning of 2024, the Tomsk region has exported a total of 23 tons of cedar nuts, including 3 tons to Belarus and 18 tons to Latvia.
Previously, it was reported that in 2023, the Tomsk region exported 2,443 tons of cedar nuts to China, 920 tons to Kazakhstan, and 212 tons to EU countries. Compared to 2022, exports increased by 1.8 times.
