Jurgen Duthoo of Bart's Potato company:

"With tacler immediate contact with professional fruit and vegetable colleagues"



Jurgen Duthoo of Bart’s Potato Company (Lamaire) came via FreshPlaza's Dutch language site www.AGF.nl, to tacler. Presently he is on tacler from Monday to Friday. "In the first instance I wanted to find out how it works and to check what it could offer with the idea of establishing the possibility of meeting potential suppliers and customers. Interesting contacts have been made, from which we obtained a lot of information as well and we are of the opinion that business will result from this. Daily we are online to exchange information with people from the sector, to follow business enquiries and to react to those, to offer goods, etc. The most important thing for us is all information about potatoes, but it is also of interest to know what happens to other products," as per Duthoo.



Lamaire is being represented by a number of people in tacler. Jurgen explains: "I am mainly in the market of fresh potatoes and other fresh products (import/export), but I also have a colleague, who uses tacler to look for logistics and to prospect for deep-freeze products. It also helps when one misses something which was requested or offered and the other has seen it."



When Duthoo compares tacler with the social media a number of things become noticeable. "With tacler the contact with professional people from the fruit and vegetable sector is immediate. The positive side of tacler is, that assistance is directly available when there is a problem or question. The staff is always ready to help and reacts very quickly to a question," Duthoo says
