For Gida: tacler makes the fruit world a lot smaller

For Gida is a Turkish company specialized in banana and tropical fruit imports. Representing the company at Fruit Logistica 2011, Kadir Emir Batis visited the FreshPlaza.com stand present there, and learned about tacler. Upon his return home, he became part of the team of Alpha testers. “Since joining tacler, I’ve only spent a couple of days at which I didn’t visit the website. But almost every day I’ll be there all morning. There are worldwide business opportunities and there’s also accurate timely market information,” says Kadir.

“I can’t even remember all the names of banana producers from Ecuador that I met on tacler. One of them happened to be visiting Turkey while we were talking via tacler, and even came to visit our company in Turkey during that same country visit. What matters most to me about tacler, is that it makes the fruit world a lot smaller that I had expected it could be. The people in tacler are all easy going, they’re from around the world and they’re all traders.”

Talking about benefits from the site in terms of trade and business contacts, Kadir comments: “After becoming a member of this site, I always have different options. Not only pricewise, but also tacler gives me a way to inform the traders and business contractors what we are looking for exactly”.

While there is some comparison between tacler and social media, Kadir holds to the opinion that “tacler is giving us a more privacy then others”.
