Philippines: Climate change blamed for durian surplus
Durian, which usually commences fruiting in August, is starting to flood Davao City in early January. The chief of the city's agricultural office said that the low prices currently available were demonstrative of the ready supply to be found.
He also said that the change in fruiting time was evidence of climate changes, though he did point out that such anomalies have occurred before.
