Insecticide label expanded to stone fruit
Sivanto Prime, from Bayer Crop Science, also has received a reduced-risk designation from EPA for use on stone fruit, avocado, and pomegranate. With these new uses, Sivanto Prime is now registered on a broad range of horticulture crops, including citrus, pome fruit, stone fruit, grapes, bush berries, tree nuts (excluding almonds), potatoes, vegetables, alfalfa, cotton, sorghum, and several specialty crops (such as blueberry, clover, pomegranate, and caneberries).
In addition, Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for flupyradifurone, the active ingredient in Sivanto Prime insecticide, have been established, effective immediately, in Australia and Taiwan. These MRLs are available across key crops, including grapes, citrus, and potatoes (both countries), as well as leafy and brassica vegetables (Taiwan only). Produce treated with Sivanto Prime can now be traded within the NAFTA region and three of the most important Pacific Rim countries, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan.
