After 18 years Pakistan to send mangoes to Japan

Pakistan is about to resume export of mangoes to Japan, after a break of 18 years. A Pakistani export company is thought to be about to send to around 6 tonnes of mangoes to the market.

According to the commercial councillor, Shahzad Ahmed Khan, at the Pakistani embassy in Japan, Japanese fruit importers are showing greater interest in Pakistani mangoes.

He says that growers need to focus on the quality of their proudce if the are to make it in Japan.
