30 million kilos are expected, according to Aprocoa

Andalucia: Garlic campaign comes to an end

The garlic campaign in Andalucia will closes shortly, to the point that most of the garlic has been collected and marketed, with a final production to be located "between 25 and 30 million kilos, of which just over 20 million have now been sold."

This was highlighted, in statements to Europa Press, by the president of Andalucia's Association of Producers and Distributors of Garlic (Aprocoa), Miguel del Pino. The president of the organization said "in Spain the campaign remains open in areas like PedroƱeras (Cuenca), Valladolid and Andalusia," to the point that in South of Spain the campaign is almost complete. Following will be PedroƱeras and after Valladolid, where the campaign still "is to 65 or 70 percent," estimated Del Pino.
