Catania (Sicily - Italy), 12-16 November, 2012

Italy: Monsanto Company sponsoring 6th International Brassica Symposium

From 12 to 16 November, 2012, at Polo Bioscientifico of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in Catania (Sicily), the 6th International Symposium on Brassica and the 18th Crucifer Genetics Workshop will take place, with the title 'Exploitation of Brassica diversity for improving agriculture chains'.

The Symposium, following that held in 2008 in Lillehammer (Norway), is organised by University of Catania's DISPA under the aegis of International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and with the support of Società Ortoflorofrutticola Italiana (SOI), Società Italiana di Agronomia (SIA), Società Italiana di Genetica Agraria (SIGA), Società Italiana di Scienze e Tecnologie Alimentari (SISTAL) and Società Italiana di Patologia Vegetale (SIPaV).

The organizing committee is glad to inform that Monsanto is sponsoring the event. Other sponsors are also welcomed!

200 experts from around the world are expected to participate at the Symposium and they have also the possibility to visit Sicily, one of the most important Italian regions in Brassica production.

Apart from the strictly scientific contents, the aim of the event is to generate a positive impact on scientific community and the different agricultural sectors.
