On display there will be the whole range of fresh and processed products, in their different sizes and packages. Moreover, visitors can examine with Sant'Orsola managers the services offering by the cooperative, such as supply and distribution of fresh fruit for twelve months per year, technical assistance to associates, research and development activities. 2011 was a profitable year in R&D.
From last summer, an innovative package with rigid and transparent cover (pictured above) replaced flow pack for soft fruit. Meanwhile, a project for handling control of its 1.200 associates was born, a project made to improve their company performances.
On the field, the first 'Grow Machine' appeared, an electronic device able to control automatically the irrigation of plants through a smart system of weight analysis. These machines allow a significant water saving, a reduction of labour and a correct measuring of elements that plants need. Till now 40 associated companies use the Grow Machine.
As for the development of new products, Sant'Orsola is working to bring innovative solutions on the market, more in line with the current evolution of consumer's needs and lifestyle.
