Sweet Resistant apple range. Besides the excellent organoleptic qualities, Gaia*, Gemini*, Renoir*, Smeralda* and Fujion* apples are resistant to scab.
In particular, Sweet Resistant strawberries Rania*, Nabilia* and Kamila* will be presented to the worldwide industry operators in order to indicate their particular resistance and rustic nature, but not at the expense of flavour.
Sweet Resistant* strawberries are particularly suitable for Mediterranean climates and, thanks to their energy and rustic nature, are well suited to the technique of continuous cropping.
Other varieties of newest strawberries, as Joly* and Dely*, are suitable for cultivation in continental climates. Capri*, Ischia* and Linosa* are new reflowering varieties.
Rania* strawberry has a conical-rhomboid shape with a medium-sized calyx; the fruit size is consistently very large. The colour of the fruit is bright red, without darkening, even when fully ripe. Uniformly red flesh, good firmness, very resistant to handling. The flavour is excellent, very sweet with a very good aroma. The fruit size and plant structure make harvesting very easy, which reduces picking costs significantly. High-yielding, 30-40% greater than that of standard varieties.
Nabila* strawberry has a regular conical shape with a medium sized calyx; the fruit size is consistently large. The colour of the fruit is shiny red, very attractive, without darkening, even when fully ripen. Uniformly red flesh, of good firmness, resistant to handling. The flavour is very pleasant with highly sweetness. Fruit size and plant structure make harvesting very easy, which significantly reduces picking. Productivity is very high, greater than that of standard varieties. Harvest is continuous with a long duration. It is well suited to be used both as a fresh plant as a frigo-plant; the latter gives a good crop for autumn harvest.
Kamila* strawberry has an abundant productivity, with fruit of large size and a nice bright red colour with remarkable organoleptic characteristics. The strong firmness of the flesh, the resistance of the epidermis and the stability of colour and brightness give the fruit extreme resistance to handling and transport. The variety has an excellent performance as fresh plant, while the frigo-plant provides high quality and quantity for autumn harvest.
