Advanced Ripening Technologies (ART) specialise in the design, development and installation of pressurized banana, and other tropical fruit ripening systems. ART has also developed its ripening technology to be used on other fruits, such as the pear. Their ripening rooms are designed to provide lower running costs whilst increasing product shelf life and maintaining consistent product colour.Each system is designed and constructed based on client specific requirements and products they wish to use in the rooms. Many countries still use conventional cold stores for ripening fruit, ART provide a pressurized chamber that ensures uniform air flow providing a consistent temperature throughout the room and product. The increasingly popular “Flexible Random Access” rooms are being utilised more and more in the UK with users being able to load/unload any pallet at any time.
ART currently operate extensively in the UK, Ireland and North America and have installed facilities in Eastern Asia.
