"We expect to bring Polish apples to Chinese consumers in October"

Poland is the largest apple producing country in Europe and the third-largest in the world. The annual apple harvest reaches a volume of around 4 million tons. About 70% of that harvest is destined for export, and about 50% of exported apples are fresh food apples. Poland has already overtaken China in apple exports. Polish apples are popular with consumers because of the high grade of food safety, rich flavor of the apples, and the diversity of varieties. The best known are the bi-colored, red and yellow European apples.

Polish apples enter the market every year in October and supply lasts through to April. Agricultural trade negotiations between China and Poland proceed much faster than trade negotiations with other European countries. Poland is in the middle of energetic negotiations for permission to export apples to China.

"The Shanghai Qinwei International Trade Co., Ltd. is specialized in the purchasing and retailing of fruit and vegetables. With its accumulated experience and local connections, Qinwei is able to provide a year-round supply of fruit from major production areas, such as mangoes, dragon fruit, oranges, tangerines, small Thai pineapples, and pomelos. This year, we plan to bring Polish apples to the Chinese market and provide Chinese consumers with the fresh taste of Polish apples. Our market orientation is on the Xinfadi Fruit Market in Beijing and the Jiaxing Fruit Market in Zhejiang. We expect to sell Polish apples in mid-level markets throughout the country." This is according to Yi Linnuo, President of Shanghai Qinwei International Trade Co., Ltd.
