Gordon Robertson has joined Apeel as the company's first Chief Revenue Officer. This comes after Apeel's successful introduction of Apeel avocados with partners Del Rey and Costco, and Eco Farms and Harps/AWG last month.
Gordon is joining at a pivotal moment as Apeel said it recently validated the value creation of its plant-derived post-harvest products at retail. According to Apeel, its partners are seeing incredible results:
- 65 percentage-point margin increase across Hass avocado category due to Apeel (Harps).
- 10 percent on average lift in sales across Hass avocado category due to Apeel (Harps).
Gordon’s charter is to lead Apeel’s strategic brand and sales function and industry relations, work to establish the Apeel brand as a natural shelf-life extension solution for conventional and organic produce, and scale Apeel’s solutions to existing and additional produce categories in the U.S. and internationally.
