On the positive side, the research found an increase in physical activity of 24.1 percent between 2009 and 2017 and a drop in the consumption of sodas and sugary drinks of 52.8 percent between the years 2007 and 2017. These drinks fell particularly out of favour with adults between 25 and 34 and those aged over 65.
