"Preparing our Mexican dragon fruit campaign"

"The Mexican dragon fruit season starts in July. This is the first year for our company to be trading this fruit. For now, we expect to export to the United States and Europe", explains Jose Manuel Jurado Tome of Intergap Food, an import and export company located in both Spain and Mexico.

He adds to this that they only work with the red dragon fruit variety, as this is the most common one in Mexico. "We work with producers with whom we have contracts for the commercialization of their dragon fruit. These producers together have a maximum capacity of a 120 ton production. We hope to reach the maximum possible during the season, which will run till October.
